Mares are the cornerstone of any breeding program. We have a small, but carefully chosen, band of mares we feel will facilitate our breeding program. They Are:

O'Quinn's Barmaid

O'Quinn's Barmaid is in foal to Dream Scheme for a 2008 foal.

O'Quinn's Barmaid was added to our broodmare band after I fell in love with her full brother, who is currently being prepared for the World Show. Her dam, Joker's Midget, is one of the best producing mares we ever owned. Midget is double-bred Joker B on her bottom side and is sired by a son of Three Bars who was out of a World Champion-producing daughter of King P-234. Barmaid's sire traces to the great Sonita's Last and Doc's Prescription. She also carries running blood from her sire. While Barmaid was never broke to ride, she has a lot of eye appeal and moves with poise and elegance. An athletic mare, we expect her to carry on in the hoof prints of her superior dam.

SHE AIN'T EASY

LP is open for 2008.

Orphaned shortly after birth following her dam's rare rectal prolapse, L.P. was raised on the pail and had only human companions until she reached the age of three months. While growing up she sustained a few injuries that have prevented her from being 100% sound for strenuous competition such as barrel racing. L.P. is race bred top and bottom and traces to such greats as Easy Jet, Go Man Go, Dash for Cash, Secretariat and Moon Lark. Her Hall of Fame Appaloosa ancestors include It's Golden Girl, Roman's It Girl and Mr. Spotted Bull. When L.P. was a yearling her sire died after standing only three seasons at stud. We plan to retain this rare daughter of It's Cash's Moon Lark, former World Champion Sprint Colt, for breeding top barrel and pole horses.

PROTECT ZIPS ASSETS

Missy is in foal to Sand In M'Shoes.

Protect Zip's Assets (Missy) is the newest addition to our broodmare band. She was seriously injured as a youngster, making her unable to compete in the ring, but she is a breeder's dream come true and we are grateful she came our way! Her sire, Protect Your Assets, won Reserve Congress Champion in Junior Western Pleasure in 1997 as a two-year old. He is also the sire of multiple Congress, NSBA and futurity champions in both Western Pleasure AND Hunter Under Saddle! Missy's dam is an own daughter of Zipped and Barred, a top son of Zippo Pat Bars (sire of Zippo Pine Bar). She also traces to the great Sonny Dee Bar. We expect nothing but the best from this blue-blooded mare.
